What is Q-News?
Q-News is Britain's leading Muslim magazine, providing independent analysis, critique and review of politics, culture and ideas. We are read by second and third generation British Muslims, parliamentarians, policy makers and educators. A third of our readership are not Muslim giving us unique place in the market as a publication which communicates the rich Muslim experience to a diverse audience.
We have a print run of 20,000, and reader surveys indicate that distribute copies are read by at least three people putting our circulation at almost 60,000.
We are a small independent publication, but our staff write widely in both the mainstream and alternative press.

What does the ‘Q’ stand for?
Over the years, the ‘Q’ was used to signify the magazine as an alternative, both to the mainstream media and to the existing Muslim media at the time. No one really knows the real history of the name. For clues, try reading this.

Who is behind Q-News?
Q-News is published by Q-News Media Limited. The magazine was the first Muslim publication in the UK which wasn't linked to one denomination or financed by one particular country or regime and this continues today.

When did Q-News start?
Q-News started in March 1992, by editor Fuad Nahdi. It existed as a fortnightly tabloid paper before evolving into its present, monthly magazine format. It is one of the longest lasting and most resilient publications in the Western world.

What is the philosophy behind Q-News?
The philosophy of Q-News is a combination of style, appeal and relevance to the Muslim community living in the west and around the world. Over the years, Q-News has repeatedly set the agenda, rather than react to it. Our chief interest lies in the development of a unique and relevant Western Muslim discourse.
